A story worth telling - Kiliel One Shot
To the light of the stars, I express my sentiments;
Our races have been at odds long before I was born. I was raised with word of mouth from my ancestors about the very reasons to loathe an entire race, and I took their word for it. I was but a young lad when I dreamed of adventures and of the day that I would become of age to partake in the biggest honor that every dwarf longs for; to wield weapons on the battlefield. I used to dream about bringing battle scars home and having a tale or two of my own to tell the dwarflings, just like uncle used to tell me and my big brother. I wanted to make him proud.
What can I say? I have always been a dreamer, thinking outside of the box and craving for so much more than just sitting on my behind watching others dress for battle and return home scarred, or not at all. That was the case of the father I never knew. I was a mere whisper of life when he joined the halls of Mahal, but I grew up fascinated with tales of his heroic deeds, hoping that one
